Turin Pride bids to host EuroPride 2027

It’s official: Turin is among the four European cities vying to host EuroPride 2027!

This year, from June 21-29, EuroPride will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece, and in 2025 in Lisbon, Portugal. In 2026, however, double EuroPride and WorldPride events in Amsterdam.

For the 2027 edition, the candidate cities, in addition to Turin, will be Vilnius, Torremolinos and the county of Gloucestershire.

In the official press release issued by European Pride Organisers Association, the body that collectively decides on EuroPrides, President Lerry Emson said:

“With the rise of right-wing and far-right governments and politicians across Europe, Pride is becoming increasingly important as an opportunity for the LGBTI+ community to unite and show strength in numbers and solidarity with each other. EuroPride continues to grow in importance and to oppose the weaponization of LGBTI+ rights in politics wherever it occurs. The variety and diversity of organizations applying for EuroPride 2027 is a wonderful expression of the variations in the Pride movement in Europe. We have a very rural Pride, a Pride in a very touristy city, a Pride in a famous historical city, and a Pride in a former Soviet country-we have a lot to consider and a lot to choose from!”
